Ford Mondeo 2.5 V6 R reg old type Overheating?

Hi I have changed the thermostat and the water pump and still my car reservoir is boiling over and steam is coming out the bonnet...my heaters in the car worked for a couple of days and not just blowing cold air. My car goes right up to red and then the oil light flashes and then it sometimes goes back to normal...Help what could it be and how much do you reckon it is going to cost me now :)Ford Mondeo 2.5 V6 R reg old type Overheating? One of the head gaskets has gone. Will cost around 400 to 450 depending on what damage it has done to the block or the head due to overheating and hot gas eroding the metal.

Quite possible at R reg that it will not be economical to repair as it may not be worth much more than that and who knows what will go next?Ford Mondeo 2.5 V6 R reg old type Overheating?Good news - pleased it wasn't the head
